Designing the Waxed Canvas Tote Bag at Rogue Industries

We love making new products that come from customer requests. Since the launch of our White Cap Duffle, you’ve been asking us for an everyday tote to join our collection of men's duffle bags. We thought about what would go into the perfect utility tote bag, and realized it had to have the following characteristics:

Reasonably priced. We want a bag that is made to be used, and that looks good, but doesn’t cost a crazy amount. Something between a reusable Trader Joe’s bag (99 cents) and an all-leather “Shopper’s Tote” - currently available from the other guys for only $495. Oof. 

Lightweight. Lugging our Waxed Canvas Tote Bag around shouldn’t feel like a chore. Waxed cotton canvas gets the job done without adding any extra weight.

Durable. We’re gonna want to stuff a whole basket of groceries in this thing, but we don’t want the handles to break under the weight of a few steaks and a bottle of Brooklyn Black Ops. That’s why we picked top-grain leather straps, and secured them with brass rivets.

All in all, we’re really happy with how this project came out. Hopefully, whether you’re headed to the grocer or the beach, our Waxed Canvas Tote Bag will make your trip a little more enjoyable.
